Dreame robot vacuums compared: L, X and D series

In its favour

• ProLeap retractable feet raise the robot to cross door sills and steps up to 6 cm.
• 3D structured light and AI recognise up to 180 obstacle types, including cables and shoes.
• The PowerDock empties dust for up to 100 days, rinses mops in hot water, dries them and fills solution.

Good to know

• Robot height is not stated, so check clearance under low sofas yourself.
• The dock is a large unit, and its footprint is not given separately from the box.

In its favour

• Thinnest Dreame robot at 8 cm, made to glide under sofas and beds, according to the listing.
• Detects steps up to 8 cm, and pairs two AI cameras with proactive lighting to read the room.
• RoboSwing MopExtend reaches under furniture and into corners while mopping.

Good to know

• The 8 cm step figure is about detection; the listing does not give a separate climbing height for door bars.
• The listed item dimensions describe the base station, so check floor space for the dock.

In its favour

• 25,000 Pa suction with 5 suction levels, the strongest figure alongside the T80S in this group of combos.
• Brush and mop both extend towards corners and under furniture, where fixed-pad robots usually leave a strip.
• Four carpet modes, including carpet avoidance, intensive carpet cleaning and 10 mm mop lifting, plus up to 231 minutes in quiet mode.

Good to know

• Automatic detergent dosing needs a separate refill module bought on its own, according to the listing.
• Only 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi is supported, and the listing colour reads 'White Us', so confirm you are getting the UK version.

In its favour

• 25,000 Pa Vormax suction with ultrasonic carpet recognition, according to Dreame.
• Several carpet modes, including intensive vacuum, carpet avoidance and priority carpet cleaning.
• Up to 230 minutes per charge in standard mode from a 5,200 mAh battery.

Good to know

• The listing does not give a mop lift height, relying on carpet modes instead.
• Listed surface recommendation is hard floor, so check carpet mode settings suit your rugs.

In its favour

• EasyLeap main and auxiliary climbing wheels cross thresholds and steps up to 4 cm, so it is less likely to get stuck.
• HyperStream Detangling DuoBrush pairs a bristle brush with a TPU rubber brush to limit hair wrap.
• PowerDock empties the bin for up to 100 days, rinses mops in hot water and dries them.

Good to know

• The listing does not describe a camera or name any objects it avoids, so it is weaker on cables and pet mess.
• Supports 2.4GHz Wi-Fi only, according to the listing.

In its favour

• Empties into a 5 L bag claimed to last up to 150 days, the longest interval here.
• 13,000 Pa suction with the anti-tangle DuoBrush for long hair and pet fur.
• 32 water levels and editable multi-floor maps in the app.

Good to know

• The base does not wash or dry the mop, so it is behind the full stations on mopping.
• No obstacle avoidance camera or sensor is described beyond anti-collision.

In its favour

• The 5,200 mAh battery is rated for up to 150 minutes and the robot resumes where it left off after charging.
• Carpet boost raises suction automatically when it moves from hard floor onto carpet.
• Listing dimensions give a height of 9.6 cm, low enough for many sofas and beds.

Good to know

• At 4,000 Pa it has the lowest stated suction here, so expect less pull on thick rugs.
• No self-emptying base, and the app only works on 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi.
