The Lefant M2 Pro is for people who dislike buying replacement dust bags. Its base stores up to 90 days of debris bagless, so there are no recurring bag costs and less plastic waste, and you can switch to bagged mode if you prefer to seal the dust away. That flexibility is unusual, and it makes the M2 Pro a practical choice for allergy-conscious and cost-conscious buyers alike, particularly in small to medium homes.

In its favour

  • Bagless base holds 90 days of debris, and can switch to bagged mode if you prefer.
  • Boosts suction on carpet automatically when the mop is removed.
  • dToF lidar works in darkness, and PSD sensors detect objects as close as 4 cm.

Good to know

  • When mopping it avoids carpets completely, so rugs need a separate vacuum run.
  • The listing does not give base station dimensions.

Our take

Suction and carpet behaviour

Suction is rated at 6,000 Pa. With the mop removed, the robot boosts suction automatically when it reaches carpet. With the mop fitted, it avoids carpet entirely, so rugs need a separate vacuum-only run.

Lefant pitches the M2 Pro at pet hair on hard floors and carpets, though 6,000 Pa sits at the lower end of the self-emptying robots here, so very thick carpet may need repeat passes.

Navigation

dToF laser navigation maps the home accurately, even in darkness, according to the listing. PSD sensors detect and avoid objects as close as 4 cm, and multi-floor mapping is supported for homes on several levels. There is no camera, so recognising specific items such as socks or cables is not part of the pitch.

Mopping and battery

The 300 ml electronic water tank offers three flow levels, which Lefant frames as a way to protect hardwood from too much water while still lifting stains. Removing the pad switches the robot to vacuum-only mode. The base does not wash the pad. A 3,200 mAh battery runs for up to 140 minutes, and when it runs low the robot recharges and resumes where it stopped. The listing gives no base dimensions and no clear capacity in litres for the bagless bin, so check the footprint against the space you have.

Against the Proscenic and Xiaomi

The Proscenic Q20Plus is also bagless for up to 90 days, with a 4 L bin, 10,000 Pa and 200 minutes of runtime. The Xiaomi H40 uses a bagged 4 L system with stronger suction and an elaborate anti-tangle brush. The M2 Pro's case is the choice between bagless and bagged modes.

Verdict

The M2 Pro suits small to medium homes with mostly hard floors where you want self-emptying without committing to bags. If you need more suction and a longer run, the Proscenic Q20Plus is the stronger bagless option. If your base must be as small as possible and you do not mind bags, the Xiaomi H40 fits tighter spaces.
