The Dreame L50 Ultra is built for homes with awkward transitions, cluttered floors and pets. Its ProLeap system lifts retractable feet to 6 cm, the highest climbing figure among the robots on this site, so raised door rails and small steps are less likely to stop it. Combined with AI and 3D structured light that avoid up to 180 obstacle types, it targets people whose current robot keeps getting stuck or bumping into things.

Our take
Getting over and around obstacles
ProLeap pushes out retractable feet to climb steps and door sills up to 6 cm. That is higher than the 4 cm of Dreame's own L40s Ultra and the Roborock Saros 10R.
For things on the floor, AI action and 3D structured light detect and steer around up to 180 types of obstacle, with shoes, furniture and cables named in the listing. Pet waste is not mentioned.
Suction, hair and edges
A sixth-generation TurboForce motor gives 19,500 Pa of Vormax suction with low noise, across five power levels. The HyperStream detangling DuoBrush pairs bristled and TPU rubber brushes to collect hair on hard floors and carpets without tangling. Dual Flex Arm technology extends the side brush and mop under furniture and into tight spots, and the spec table mentions a TriCut brush and ultrasonic carpet detection.
Carpets, mopping and the dock
There are five carpet modes in the Dreamehome app, from detaching the mops to avoiding carpet, vacuuming twice or boosting suction. DuoScrub pads lift 10.5 mm. The PowerDock empties dust for up to 100 days, rinses the mops with hot water, dries them, refills solution and water, and washes its own board. The box includes two dust bags, a ramp extension and a 200 ml cleaning solution. Battery life is listed at 180 minutes. The spec table lists 110 V, and robot height is not stated, so measure clearance.
L50 Ultra against climbing rivals
The Roborock Saros 10R climbs 4 cm but is only 8 cm tall, so it reaches lower gaps. The Dreame X60 Max Ultra adds 35,000 Pa and cameras with 8 cm step detection. The L50 Ultra leads on stated climbing height and named obstacle count.
Verdict
Buy the L50 Ultra if thresholds and clutter are your robot's biggest enemies and you want a full dock with hot-water rinsing. If low furniture is the bigger issue, the Roborock Saros 10R or Dreame X60 Max Ultra fit lower gaps. If your floors are flat and you mainly want suction, the Dreame L40 Ultra Gen2 offers more Pa.
