The MOVA Z70 Ultra Roller is built for awkward homes: raised thresholds between rooms, chunky rug edges and furniture legs that stop ordinary robots. Its StepMaster 2.0 legs lift the chassis over obstacles up to 9 cm, which is the stand-out figure on the listing. On top of that sit 36,000 Pa of suction and a roller mop that works under constant pressure with circulating water.

In its favour

  • HydroForce 2.0 sprays, scrubs, scrapes and sucks up water in one cycle at 18 N constant pressure.
  • Real-time fluffing lifts the roller fibres at 800 rpm to reduce matting over time.
  • StepMaster 2.0 legs lift the chassis to cross obstacles up to 9 cm, and the body is 96 mm with the sensor down.

Good to know

  • The listing does not describe the dock's jobs, drying or dust emptying in any detail.
  • Runtime and battery capacity are not stated.

Our take

HydroForce roller mopping explained

MOVA calls its mopping system HydroForce 2.0: the roller is sprayed, scrubs the floor, is scraped clean and then the dirty water is sucked away, all as one cycle. The listing gives the pressure as 5,000 Pa, or 18 N, held constant while the water circulates to keep the roller clean.

A separate fluffing action lifts the roller fibres at 800 rpm. The aim is to stop the microfibre flattening and matting over months of use, which is a common reason a roller loses its grip on dried marks. For edges, MaxiReach 2.0 swings the roller out by up to 52 mm and adds a 10 mm adaptive edge-hugging movement, while the side brush also extends.

Rugs, hair and getting around

Wet rollers and rugs are a bad mix, so MOVA adds AutoShield. As the mop and side brush lift on carpet, a shield seals the roller away from the fibres and suction is boosted. Hair is handled by a four-layer anti-tangle design around the TroboWave DuoBrush, using brush geometry and bristle barriers to steer hair away from wrapping.

Navigation uses FlexScope: the DToF sensor rises for 360° scanning in open rooms and retracts in tight spaces, bringing the robot down to 96 mm to get under sofas and beds. Combined with the 9 cm step-over ability, this robot is designed to keep moving where others would park and call for help.

What the listing leaves out

The listing is detailed about the robot and thin about the base. It does not describe dust emptying, wash water temperature or how the roller is dried after a run, and it gives no runtime or battery capacity. The product name includes the words Fresh Water, but clean and dirty tank sizes are not stated. These are worth checking with the seller if dock convenience is your priority.

How it compares with Ecovacs rollers

The Ecovacs Deebot T80 Omni is the better documented dock, with a wash that moves between 40 and 75°C and 45°C drying, but it lists 18,000 Pa, half the MOVA figure. The Ecovacs Deebot X12 OmniCyclone adds a bagless cyclone station and a FocusJet pre-spray for sticky spots, with 22,000 Pa. Neither lists an obstacle-crossing height close to the 9 cm the MOVA claims.

Verdict

Choose the MOVA Z70 Ultra Roller if your home has high thresholds, low furniture and rugs that trip up other robots, and you want the strongest suction on a roller mop. If you care more about a clearly described dock with hot washing and drying, the Ecovacs Deebot T80 Omni is the safer choice, and the Deebot X12 OmniCyclone suits anyone who wants to stop buying dust bags.
