The MONSGA MR7 Pro is a self-emptying robot from a smaller brand that tries to cover every base on paper. It suits families who want months between bag changes, a decent suction figure and a robot that anyone in the household can operate. That last point is unusual: it can be controlled by app, voice, a supplied remote and buttons on the robot, which makes it more approachable for older relatives or children than app-only rivals.

In its favour

  • Auto-empty base with a 4 L bag that the maker says holds up to 90 days of debris.
  • Stores up to 5 maps and climbs thresholds up to 2 cm, useful in multi-floor homes.
  • Control by app, voice, remote or buttons, and the listing gives a 2-year warranty.

Good to know

  • The mop is a static cloth, and the base does not wash it.
  • Less established brand than Dreame, Roborock or Shark, so check UK support before buying.

Our take

Suction and brushes

Suction is listed at 10,000 Pa from a 19,500 RPM brushless motor. Automatic carpet boost raises power to maximum on carpet and drops back on hard floor. Three suction levels are offered.

Against hair, MONSGA pairs an asymmetrical side brush with a spiral all-rubber main brush, which it says reduces tangling and stops dirt sticking in the bristles.

Self-emptying and mopping

The base empties into a 4 L bag rated for up to 90 days, and a pull handle at the bag opening seals it as you remove it, which limits dust escaping. The robot's own dustbin holds 350 ml. A combined unit includes a 460 ml water tank with three water levels, quoted as enough for about 206 m² of mopping. Mopping relies on a fixed cloth that you will need to rinse yourself, since the base only handles dust.

Navigation, runtime and the dock pad

360° LiDAR maps the home quickly and stores up to five maps. Obstacle avoidance keeps it clear of items such as toys, anti-drop sensors guard stairs, and it can cross thresholds up to 2 cm. The 3,200 mAh battery runs for 160 minutes, and the robot charges just enough to finish an interrupted job. A detachable waterproof base plate protects floors at the dock and helps docking on low-pile carpet. MONSGA quotes under 50 dB, a 2-year warranty and lifetime support.

MR7 Pro against other bagged bases

The Dreame D20 Air Plus offers twice the suction and a 120-day bag, with a better-known brand behind it. The Xiaomi H40 has a smaller base and a five-step anti-tangle system. The MR7 Pro stands out for its range of controls and its long runtime.

Verdict

The MR7 Pro suits busy households that want a self-emptying robot everyone can operate, with a long run and months between bag changes. If brand support and stronger suction matter more, the Dreame D20 Air Plus is the safer bet. If floor space is tight, the Xiaomi H40's compact base may fit better.
