This white edition of the Roomba Max 705 Combo is the iRobot to consider if pets rule the house. Its camera-based PrecisionVision AI is one of the few systems whose listing names pet waste among the objects it steers around, together with cords and socks. That matters more than suction numbers if you have a puppy or an older dog. Dual rubber brushes for fur and a dock that empties for up to 75 days complete the pet-owner pitch.

In its favour

  • PrecisionVision AI recognises pet waste, cords and socks and navigates around them.
  • Dual rubber brushes plus dual edge-sweeping brushes for hair along skirting boards.
  • AutoWash Dock gives up to 75 days of auto-emptying and heated roller washing and drying.

Good to know

  • Runtime and battery capacity are not stated in the listing.
  • The 13,000 Pa figure comes from the spec table only, as the bullets compare suction with older Roombas.

Our take

Hair, fur and debris

iRobot uses dual rubber brushes instead of a bristle roll, which helps stop fur wrapping, plus dual edge-sweeping brushes for corners. Suction is given as 175 times a Roomba 600 in spot clean mode, and the spec table lists 13,000 Pa with four suction levels.

The app learns which rooms get dirty fastest and picks settings to match, so a hallway by the back door can get extra passes on its own.

Muddy paws and spills

The PowerSpin roller spins at 200 RPM, cleans itself continuously and is heated, with SmartScrub for deeper scrubbing of dried marks. iRobot claims coffee stains are removed 10 times better than with its Roomba 105 Combo. PerfectEdge lets the roller reach out to edges. On carpet a protective cover closes over the roller, rather than lifting it a set height, so rugs are kept dry.

Dock, mapping and box contents

The AutoWash dock offers 75 days of emptying, eight weeks of heated roller washing at one mopping run a week, heated drying, solution dispensing and a self-clean cycle. ClearView Pro LiDAR, hidden in the body, maps rooms in 3D and names them automatically. The box lists a dirt disposal bag, a filter, a mop pad and a hook cutter. Runtime and battery capacity are not stated.

Other pet-hair options

The Ecovacs T90 Pro Omni offers 30,000 Pa and ZeroTangle 4.0 for heavy shedders, but its listing does not name pet waste. The eufy C28 Omni promises tangle-free brushes for hair up to 30 cm. The Roomba trades raw power for smarter avoidance.

Verdict

Choose the white Roomba Max 705 Combo if your dog or cat has accidents, or if socks and cables are always on the floor, and you want a heated roller mop and a dock that lasts weeks. If sheer suction on thick carpet is the goal, the Ecovacs T90 Pro Omni is stronger on paper. For long human hair, the eufy C28 Omni is worth a look.
