The Deebot T80 Omni is aimed at homes with a lot of hard floor and a kitchen that produces sticky, greasy mess. Instead of two round pads it uses a single OZMO roller that is rinsed as it turns, and its dock does something few rivals list: it changes the temperature of the wash water, anywhere from 40 to 75°C, depending on which room the roller has just cleaned and how dirty it got.
- Suction
- 18,000 Pa
- Mop
- OZMO self-washing roller
- Dock wash and dry
- 40 to 75°C wash, 45°C hot air
- Obstacle sensing
- AIVI 3D 3.0
- Edge reach
- TruEdge 2.0 roller and side brush extend
In its favour
- Temperature Controlled Pad Wash 2.0 chooses between 40 and 75°C by room and dirt level.
- TruEdge 2.0 pushes the roller out along edges, and the side brush extends into corners.
- Carpet Priority vacuums every rug first with a dry pad to avoid wetting them.
Good to know
- This listing does not mention the dock emptying the dust bin.
- Roller width is not stated, so coverage per pass is unclear.
Our take
How the OZMO roller cleans
Ecovacs says the roller is fed with clean water while it works, and that it goes through about 200 cleaning and rinsing actions a minute. The point is to stop the mop dragging dirty water from one part of the room to the next. The listing quotes a washing pressure of 3,700 Pa and says the roller's smaller contact area lets it press harder on a stain than flat pads or vibrating plates.
AI Instant Re-Mop 2.0 sorts stains by how stubborn they look. Light marks get a quick extra pass, while tougher ones trigger a repeated deep routine over the same spot. The listing does not give the roller's width, so it is hard to say how much floor each pass covers.
Dock wash and drying in daily use
The headline feature is Temperature Controlled Pad Wash 2.0. Rather than one fixed setting, the dock picks a wash temperature between 40 and 75°C. In practice that means a hallway run can get a cooler rinse, while a roller that has been through the kitchen gets the hottest water. After the run, 45°C hot air dries the roller from all sides, and Ecovacs states it is fully dry in about two hours, which should keep odours down if the robot runs daily.
One gap is worth knowing: this UK listing does not say whether the station also empties the robot's dust bin. If self-emptying matters to you, confirm it before you buy.
Suction, hair and carpets
Suction is 18,000 Pa. ZeroTangle 3.0 pairs a spiral side brush design with a V-toothed main brush and a comb, meant to stop hair wrapping. For rugs, Carpet Priority vacuums every carpet first with a dry roller before mopping starts, and the robot can switch between suction only, avoid, pass through or treat like floor. TruEdge 2.0 slides the roller out towards skirting boards, and the side brush extends into corners. AIVI 3D 3.0 handles obstacle avoidance. The spec table lists 180 minutes of battery life without naming the mode.
Against the eufy S1 Pro and Xiaomi 5 Pro
The eufy Omni S1 Pro also uses a roller, and its listing gives a width of 29 cm and adds ozonated water and detergent dosing, but it states no suction figure and no wash temperature. The Xiaomi 5 Pro washes its pads in hotter 80°C water and adds a 200-object AI camera, though it uses extending pads rather than a roller. The T80 Omni sits between them: the only one of the three that adjusts its wash temperature to the job.
Verdict
Buy the Deebot T80 Omni if you want a roller mop and a dock that treats greasy rooms differently from clean ones. It is a sensible pick for open-plan kitchens and long hard-floor runs. If you need a confirmed self-emptying station or a stated roller width, the eufy Omni S1 Pro is better documented, and if hotter water matters most, look at the Xiaomi 5 Pro.
