The Qrevo 5AE is the Roborock for people who mop more than they vacuum, especially on sealed wood or laminate where too much water is a worry. Roborock calls it an upgraded S7 Max Ultra, and its standout detail is control: the app lets you set the water flow across 30 levels, room by room if you like. That level of fine-tuning is rarely spelled out on a listing, and it is the clearest reason to choose this model.

Mop type
Dual rotating pads, 200 RPM, FlexiArm
Water control
30 levels in app
Mop lift
10 mm
Mop drying
Hot-air drying
Suction
12,000 Pa

In its favour

  • 30 water-flow levels in the app is the finest control listed here, handy for keeping wood barely damp.
  • SmartPlan adjusts suction and wash levels per room, and LiDAR tells carpet from hard floor.
  • Dock washes the pads, dries them with hot air and refills the water tank automatically.

Good to know

  • The listing does not give a runtime or battery capacity for planning longer mopping runs.
  • A 10 mm lift is fine for short pile, but thicker rugs may still need no-go zones.

Our take

Mopping hardware

Two rotating pads spin at 200 RPM, and Roborock says they imitate the motion of scrubbing by hand. One of them sits on a FlexiArm that swings out to reach corners and around furniture legs. When carpet is detected, the pads lift by 10 mm, enough for short pile but not for deep rugs, which are better fenced off with no-go zones.

SmartPlan in the app can adjust suction and washing levels automatically for each room.

Suction and brushes

Suction is quoted at 12,000 Pa from a brushless motor. That is roughly half the Saros figures, but plenty for everyday dust, crumbs and pet hair on hard floors and low carpet. The floating rubber main brush and an arc-shaped side brush make up what Roborock calls an SGS certified anti-tangle system, with a claimed 0% bristle tangle rate.

Mapping, avoidance and the dock

PreciSense lidar builds the map with a 360° scan and stores up to four floor plans, switching between them automatically. Structured light sensors handle obstacle avoidance for cables, toys and furniture legs, and the app can suggest no-go areas where the robot tends to get stuck, such as under chairs.

The dock empties dust into a bin that Roborock says lasts seven weeks, washes the mops, dries them with hot air and refills the robot's water tank, with mopping rated for over 330 m². The listing does not give a runtime or robot height.

Against other hard-floor moppers

The Dreame L40 Ultra Gen2 offers twice the suction and similar extending pads, but its listing says nothing about water levels. The eufy X10 Pro Omni lifts its pads a little higher at 12 mm and states a 180 minute runtime, which the Roborock does not. Within Roborock's range, the Saros 10 is the choice if suction and a slim body matter more than mopping control.

Verdict

Choose the Qrevo 5AE if your floors are mainly wood, laminate or tile and you want to dial in how wet the mop runs. If you have thick rugs, the 18 mm lift on the Ecovacs T50 Max Pro Omni is a better match. If deep carpet cleaning is a priority, the Dreame L40 Ultra Gen2 brings far more suction.
